PawHunters · last updated: September 2026
In short. Photograph the animals you meet without disturbing them. Your photos stay yours. The app is free, with no ads and no purchases. The breed is guessed by a machine and the machine is often wrong — this is a game, not a reference book.
1. What this is
The rules for using the PawHunters app for Android and the server behind it. The app is made and maintained by Aleksey A.. Contact: antujira@gmail.com.
By installing the app and using it you accept these rules. If you do not accept them, do not use it; uninstalling costs you nothing.
2. Who may use it
The app is meant for people aged 13 and over. One person, one account. You can also play with no account at all.
3. What the app does
- Photographs the dog or cat in front of you right now, cuts it out of the frame and makes a card with a title, a rarity and stats.
- Keeps the collection on the phone and, once you sign in, on the server too, so it survives losing the phone.
There is no gallery import on purpose: the game is about meeting an animal, not about picking pictures. The breed, the rarity and the stats are decided by the app from the shot; you cannot influence them by hand, or rarity would mean nothing.
The breed is guessed by a machine and it makes mistakes. A card is a playful object, not a pedigree document and not veterinary advice.
4. Your photos stay yours
Everything you shoot belongs to you. We do not publish your images, do not show them to other people and do not use them for advertising or for training models.
By signing in you allow us to keep the cut-out image and the card's numbers on our server for exactly one purpose: giving them back to you on another phone. That permission ends the moment you delete the card or the account.
5. Be decent to the animals
The rule this section exists for: no card is worth disturbing an animal.
- Do not lure, frighten, grab or hold an animal to get a better shot.
- Do not enter private property and do not climb into dangerous places.
- When photographing somebody's dog or cat, ask the owner.
- Do not frame shots so that bystanders, especially children, end up in them.
6. What you must not do
- Cheat the game: feeding the app a photo of a screen, somebody else's photograph or a picture instead of a live animal.
- Interfere with the server, work around the rate limits, or call it from anything other than the app.
- Take the app apart in order to change card rarity or other people's data.
- Upload anything unlawful.
We may cut off access to the server for a violation. Cards on your phone stay with you.
7. Money
The app is free. There is no advertising, no subscription and no in-app purchase. If any of that ever appears, we will say so in advance and plainly, not by quietly editing this document.
8. Availability
We do our best to keep the server up, but we do not promise it. It may be unavailable because of a failure, an update, or reasons outside our control. The app keeps working meanwhile: catching, cards and the collection live on the phone and need no network.
We make backups and check them, but our server should not be treated as the only copy of your collection.
9. Liability
The app is provided as is. We are not liable for what happens because you trusted a breed or a rarity, nor for harm caused while taking a photograph. Nothing here limits the rights consumer law gives you.
10. Ending it
You may leave at any moment: Delete account in the app wipes everything about you from the server. No letters and no explanations are required. Details are on the account deletion page.
11. Changes
These rules may change. A new version appears here with a new date, and the app itself will announce significant changes.
12. Law and contact
The law of the Russian Federation applies. Questions, complaints and suggestions: antujira@gmail.com.
How we handle data is described separately, in the privacy policy.
